Seal Rocks Lighthouse Yoga/SUP Retreat

WILDE Retreats invites you to get away, re-energise and experience something different. You will be refreshed, revitalized and glowing with joy with a renewed sense of wellbeing. 

This retreat is set in pristine Seal Rocks and combines unique accommodation with beautiful beaches and lakes, nutritious healthy meals, daily yoga, stand up paddle boarding, meditation and mindfulness. With the group size kept to a maximum of 14 people you can expect each person to get the support and attention they need throughout. 

No experience in yoga or SUP is needed as we can cater to all levels.

 LOCATION....Retreat to the seclusion of an historic lighthouse keeper’s cottage. Holiday by the beach in charming Seal Rocks within Myall Lakes National Park. Discover nature nestled in an unspoiled environment.

Steeped in history and built in 1875, the Seal Rocks lighthouse and self-contained cottages are heritage listed and recall the area in a time of timber-getting and fishing. Today, Seal Rocks is renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty – “the last frontier”.

Enjoy surfing, snorkeling, diving and fishing in pristine waters.  Discover rocky coves, untouched nature trails and the magical night time lighthouse beams.

Headkeeper’s Cottage 

The Headkeeper’s Cottage offers uninterrupted ocean views… with 3 queen bedrooms, 2 with additional single beds. It features a modern kitchen complete with dishwasher, a single bathroom with shower, toilet and a separate bath and laundry.

Assistant Keeper’s Cottages 

The 2 Assistant Keeper’s Cottages are thoughtfully appointed with expansive ocean views. Each comprises 2 queen bedrooms, one with an additional single bed. The lounge room sofa also converts to a double bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen, single bathroom with shower and toilet and a separate laundry.

SUP YOGA MATT: Our GURU (joining for Tuesday Mornings Sup Yoga class)

Matt is passionate about developing communities thru divine play & connecting people thru Yoga, Partner Yoga, Acro Yoga, Kirtan and SUPYoga.  Matt is a keen surfer and Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) board instructor; he combines his love for Yoga and the water thru his SUPYoga teaching. He teaches at teacher trainings in Australia, Bali & India, runs classes, workshops, immersions & retreats through out the world and leads Pilgrimages to India.

 Matt is drawn to Bhakti Yoga and a Kirtan devotee, you’ll often hear him cranking out some tunes with his harmonium during classes, workshops and on the paddleboard (for SUPYoga Kirtan). Matt is a certified AcroYoga teacher, running Acro classes, workshops & retreats, or incorporating elements of Acro into his regular classes. He teaches a variety of styles from Bhakti infused Power Vinyasa to Acro & Partner Yoga, Yin and SUPYoga.

Matt is an RYT500 & YACEP (with Yoga Alliance), Level 2 AcroYoga teacher (with AcroYoga.org) and a SUPYoga Teacher Trainer (with ASI).   He’s trained with Raghunath, Gwyn Williams, Power Living, AcroYoga International and many other world-renowned yoga teachers



Featuring Guest Teacher: Bella (Monday's welcome class)

Bella completed her 200hr YTT at Byron Yoga Centre in 2016 after practicing on and off for 15(ish) years. She wholeheartedly believes yoga is for everyone and, like wine, if you haven’t found one you like, keep looking!

She loves a good sweaty practice, full of strong foundation poses with a dose of something new & challenging and believes that a good session on the mat is unparalleled.  For her, yoga offers a moving meditation - something to turn the brain off and let the body and breath do the work – which is the perfect antidote to her day job, editing reality television.

Her teaching style is relaxed and informal, with an emphasis on finding what works for the individual, and will usually contain at least one mispronunciation of a sankrit word.

SUP Assist:

Lucy, paddle addict, after discovering paddling 4yrs ago she has paddled in the Cook Islands and around Australia. ASI Level 1 SUP instructor and Studio Pilates - Matt and Reformer qualified. She enjoys SUP racing, charity paddles and SUP yoga. She looks forward to assisting Matt give all retreat attendees the support and confidence they need to try new things or further their experience.

This event will be fully catered with Fresh Local Produce. Healthy options and can cater to the individuals dietary requirements.

Would you like to take your retreat experience even further? Kate Darnell from Gumboots by the Sea creates an enlightening meditation experience with a unique guided meditation and sound bowl therapy. Your 90minute session allows you to relax, emerge and connect to your place of peace. You will have the opportunity to release and fully surrender to the present moment. At the end of your meditation you will receive an oracle card to further allow you to connect to your higher self.

After following her heart, trusting soul and intuition, Kate created the mindfulness business “Gumboots by the Sea”.  Kate offers over 12 years teaching experience and has channelled hundreds of unique meditations. She holds weekly meditation classes and special monthly gatherings. Kate will bring her passion of self-care and empowerment and add a dash of magical bliss to your retreat experience.

It is Likely to become an Annual Event at Palm Bay Resort, Long Island with Yoga guru Kat Harding: details on that to come.....


The Week That Was:

This retreat combined the luxury of resort accommodation, beautiful tropical beaches, daily yoga, stand up paddle boarding, meditation and some jet boating thrill rides. With the class size kept to a maximum of 10 people each guest to got the support and attention they need throughout. 

Kat Harding shares weekend and week long yoga retreats around the world incorporating: mindfulness, stand up paddle board (SUP) yoga, vinyasa yoga and yin yoga. She has been teaching SUP yoga since 2013 when she became one of the first qualified instructors in Australia and has travelled to the Isle of Wight, the Maldives, Croatia and home again to Noosa Heads teaching the practice.

She is trained in Vinyasa, SUPyoga, Yin Yoga, Prana Flow Yoga, mindfulness meditation and holds a yoga therapy qualification.

Kat prefers to share experiences through retreats and weekend getaways as she believes that it’s the best way to truly get to know your own body and mind and to experience the best of what yoga has to offer.
